Personal Consulting and Coaching
About Shaun
Shaun Kieran has over 35 years of experience as a senior clinician in a variety of settings, from inpatient psychiatric hospitals to Employee Assistance Programs (EAP.) His clients and their situations have included the widest possible range of people, circumstances, and problems.
At this point in his career, Shaun is looking to optimize the opportunity to be helpful by reducing things to their key elements: an emotional shift due to insight, self-awareness, tackling powerful questions, active listening, emotional honesty, and humility.
Who Utilizes Online Personal Consulting and Coaching?
Like many consultants and coaches, my work has tended toward specialty subgroups – in my case, parents and line supervisors. The obvious connection between them is that both require management of their “authority” while also grasping human relationships and their strong emotions, needing and utilizing clarity around responsibilities, and internalizing the need to head toward problems rather than be passive. There are also, obviously, crucial differences in the roles.
But I also specialize in the “general” – the challenges that people are confronted with daily. I’ve been useful to countless clients who were looking to sort out a situation, improve self-awareness, and move forward with purpose. I’m a strong “accountability partner.”
A Small First Step
It’s normal to hope things will work out over time, but what happens far too often is that pressure builds and our primary relationships with spouses, children, parents, and/or bosses and significant workplace colleagues become so strained or deeply troubled – or someone counting on us really needs our help – that a situation can’t be avoided anymore. Matters have come to a head. It’s time to talk to someone.
If you’ve come to a point where you think you’d benefit from talking to someone about your situation, you’re probably right – and you’ve arrived at the right place.
Don’t let that moment get away from you.
